The Aernus Institute is a legal entity governed by private law, whose purpose is to promote the study, cooperation and debate on the European Security and Defense Policy (ESDP) and its implications for Portugal, including issues relating to the development of the base technological and industrial defense and its articulation with companies and national and foreign technological research and development centers, also having the mission to provide services and support in the areas of consultancy, auditing, training, studies, technological development , in the areas of security and defense, information and international cooperation, including the management and implementation of projects in these areas.

Composed of a core of six members with a vast and diverse set of knowledge and experience, the Aernus Institute counts on the collaboration of recognized experts in the different areas of its activity.
